Welcome to My On-line Portfolio!

There's usually a silver lining. For the past several years, I've kept this little portfolio, which contains about 60 of my 4,000 or so published magazine and newspaper articles - now supplemented by hundreds of blogs - in PDF format on a hosted server.

Recently, I discovered that the PDF portfolio contained some very pesky malware, clearly coming in via an antiquated Adobe Reader, which the server's host has not been updating - and has refused to update. They were nasty about it, in fact. And I have since found out that they have been equally nasty - and unhelpful - to literally millions of other customers with exactly the same problem.

As the French so colorfully say, Tant pis! Bye-Bye Server Host, especially since it is now so easy to scan one's own documents into blog format and add to them periodically as one chooses.

That is exactly what I have decided to do, and this new On-Line Portfolio is the result. I promise to scan additional groups of stories into the mix from time to time. This initial selection, including about 60 of my 4,000 published articles, was chosen to represent the range of stories I've done, from popular and easy-to-read consumer pieces to what I believe are some very sophisticated articles for experienced and well-educated "Trade" - business and professional magazine - audiences.

I scanned these initial stories from the defunct PDF, so they are, in effect, a-scan-of-a-scan-of-a-scan, meaning there are some minor publication flaws. To view them more clearly, just zoom in on your Reader. Or feel free to contact me - preferably via LinkedIn, where I tend to hang out - and I will be happy to fax originals to you. If there are other categories of stories or specific topics you'd like to see, ask me to find some for you. There are very few topic areas I have not written about in my over four decades as a high-volume journalist.

For ease of handling, I am preserving the five Portfolio Categories I used in the old PDF, listed below. Click on the Category you choose, which will take you to the correct page in this Portfolio.  I have added brief annotations to make the Portfolio more useful and interesting.

Thank You for Reading!
